Didi Resources chairman Rewi Hamid Bugo with the V7 III Anniversario.

THE V7 is quite a rare sight in Malaysia, and the V7 III Anniversario is even more so.

Only three units are left in the Moto Guzzi showroom in Petaling Jaya. Out of the five Malaysian Guzzis sold, one bears the serial number 0001, making it an instant collectible.

The unit is one of just 1,000 units produced and sold worldwide.

The Anniversario is Moto Guzzi’s tribute to the 50th anniversary of the V7. It is produced with series numbers 1 to 1,000.

Built on the V7 III Special base, the Anniversario is distinguished by numerous details, including a chromium finished fuel tank with gold Moto Guzzi eagle as well as a leather saddle.

The locking fuel cap is made from billet aluminium, as are the steering yoke risers that bear the laser incised model serial number.

The polished aluminium mudguards, chromium plated steel rear grab handle and wheel rims with exclusive polished channels and grey hubs further differentiate it from the base model.

Its power has also been upped by 10 per cent. The steel frame maintains the dismountable double cradle layout of the predecessor with the same 46 per cent front, 54 per cent rear distribution.

The front end of the bike has been completely revamped and reinforced, says Moto Guzzi.

It now features a new steering geometry to improve cornering, as well as giving it better handling and stability.

The V7 III Anniversario is priced at RM80,900.
