It’s important to gear up suitably for a hike. These items from Salomon will make your experience a comfortable one.
Salamon X Ultra Mid 2 GTX mid-length trekking shoes
The shoe uses Salomon’s running shoe technology and combines it with a mid-height upper and Gore-Tex waterproof protection.
A cool pair of trekking shoes. It looks firm, sturdy and stable, something new hikers will definitely appreciate.
A strong, sturdy cocoon for the feet. The outer soles are thick and that delivers stability. On the flipside, it can feel heavy especially if the uphill climb involves stairs.
The protective heel and rubber toe cap keep feet protected but be sure to pair this shoe with proper hiking socks so your nails don’t get damaged when you descend.
Made with PU coated leather and leather resistant textile, the shoe is waterproof. Slight rain wouldn’t be a problem.
The brand makes sure it follows a woman’s foot shape instead of just making a smaller version of the men’s shoes.
Supremely stable on rugged terrain, albeit being slightly heavy. The price may be high but if you are an active hiker, this is one shoe that will take you places comfortably.

Your typical hiking pants that’s very roomy and lightweight.

This pants is not waterproof and therefore not suitable for hiking in tropical forests. That said, the fabric dries easily after rain. Personally, I prefer waterproof pants because you can never predict the weather.
Lightweight, comfortable and roomy but best worn when it’s a sunny day.
Radiant short-sleeved shirt
AdvancedSkin Shield with polycotton strength make this piece light, fast-drying and comfortable.
A very light shirt, thanks to the stretch cotton material and poly back vent details and snap closure. Great for travel, the shirt makes hiking very comfortable and easy. The fabric is breathable, so you will be guaranteed of comfort throughout your journey.
The best hiking top I have tried so far. This one has taken me from Timpohon to Laban Rata in extreme comfort. My only gripe is that the capped sleeves are too short and are not enough to cover my skin even when I wear arm socks.
